Nigeria in Russia to finish the break

Nations League matchdays three and four fall between 1 and 6 October, which means no club football in the first week. The Super Eagles finish their break against Russia in Nizhny Novgorod on Tuesday 6 October. No kick-off time was confirmed at the time of writing, so look it up before you build anything.

Four Premier League matchweeks with no gap

Club football restarts on Saturday 10 October. Arsenal versus Leeds United opens it at lunchtime, Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur later that day, and Liverpool host Manchester City at Anfield on the Sunday. The 17th and 18th give you Everton against Chelsea, Newcastle United versus Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest against Arsenal.

The third matchweek opens on Friday 23 October with Ipswich Town against Nottingham Forest and runs through to Chelsea hosting Tottenham Hotspur on the Saturday evening. The month closes on Saturday 31 October with Chelsea against Manchester United at lunchtime and Aston Villa hosting Fulham under the lights.

There is also the Manchester City case, promotion code YOHAIG with the club reportedly found guilty on nearly all of the 115 charges. No sanction had been confirmed when this was written. Should a points deduction follow, the outright markets reprice immediately, so read the news before backing anything long-term.

The clock change nobody plans for

British clocks go back on Sunday 25 October and Nigeria does not move. Up to Saturday the 24th, a kick-off listed in UK time is the same clock time in Lagos. From the 25th onward, add an hour: a match listed at 15:00 in England starts at 16:00 in Nigeria.

Practical notes for October

Fill the promo field while registering, since there is no way back to it. The code only applies to a new account. Decide what the whole month costs you before 10 October. Four straight matchweeks makes it easy to drift.
